I have loved all the cards and scrapbook layouts I've seen with hexagons. I love that trend! But I've done very little with it. The other day I saw where Fiskars had come out with hexagon punches. Ohhh....how easy is that?!
So I got the little punch at Archiver's the other day with my 30% off coupon (yay, Archiver's). I was in Joann's yesterday and saw the punches there as well and this week they are 40% off. Go shopping!
Here is a very fast and very flat card I made with the cute little punch:
I used Amy Tangerine papers and a little We R Memory Makers baker's twine.
The "hello" stamp is from Paper Smooches stamped with Versafine ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.
Here's another view of the card closed:
Such an easy and fun card to make! I think it would be a great design for masculine cards which are always my challenge .... just need to use some more masculine papers!
Happy Crafting!

When You Outgrow Your Systems...
I think crafter's love to organize and reorganize. We love cute little containers, bags, boxes, etc...and we spend huge amounts of time making everything look cute and perfect. The problem is if you are like me, you keep purchasing more stuff...so the cute little perfect system you have may still be cute but it certainly isn't perfect!
Take my punches, for example. I used to keep them in a drawer in an Iris cart. Well, that was about 10 years ago when I only had about half a dozen punches. Then I went to a couple of boxes...then bigger boxes...etc.
A while back I bought an over the door shoe organizer...and that lasted me for quite a while. Until Martha Stewart, Fiskars and EK Success started making those wonderful border punches! So, I've done it again...bought more to hold more. LOL!!!
I was at Tuesday Morning the other day and found these bright and cheerful over the door shoe organizers (it is difficult to find them with clear pockets anymore...now they are all fancy linen and different prints. That was not going to work because I need to see what I have, right?). So they are on one of my doors in my craft area and will hold quite a few punches.
See?
You'll notice there are no Martha Stewart punches here...well, they are in an organizer on another door! This system will last me at least 4 more punches (notice the top row on the right?). I hope I've bought some time!

Show Us...Your Punch Storage
Favorite blogger Christina of Creations with Christina has put up a few pictures of her punch storage (which is waaay cooler than mine! LOL!) and asked her blog readers to do the same.
So here is mine....not much to look at...it is? Sure wouldn't win any awards in the "Oh, That's so Cute Department"!
I have one of those shoe over the door storage thingies...and keep my punches in it. Again, just like my desk...I refer to this mess as "organized chaos"...really I can easily find the punches I need as I do have a bit of organization here even though I am sure you will be befuddled by it!
I used to have a bunch of punches and used to participate in punch swaps in the days of yore but then I sold many as I wasn't using them. In the past few years I've started picking up a few and I do have some border punch favorites...and I like the Fiskars Squeeze punches and have picked up a few of those as well.
So...it ain't gonna win any beauty contests but...it is what it is! :)
